Lee Crockett (Beaverton, OR USA) :
Great price and Windows 8 is so much easier to use with a touch screen. Good battery life, really small transformer built into power cord. It does seem to take a long time to recharge.
Nicholas Roberts "nicktide" (Raleigh, NC) :
This is a great little notebook. The design is attractive and it functions flawlessly. The only drawback is that the keyboard is not backlit, but I knew that before purchasing it. The price was great and the build quality is on par with much more expensive machines. ASUS is now my first choice for any laptop needs.
Hllaverty (USD) :
I got this computer yesterday and have been playing with it ever since. I'm not use to Windows 8 but it is easy to get adjusted to it. I love everything about this computer and so far have no complaints. Before this computer I got an Asus with ubuntu and hated it. I returned it. This was 100 dollars more but it was worth it.

ASUS Memo Pad HD 7-Inch 16 GB Tablet Discounts
Vyshtia (CA, USA) :
Owning an iPad and an iPad Mini, this device was a little hard to get used to at first. The quality is not up to par when compared to an iPad, but the price is so much more affordable and it can do so much, that the quality really is good enough. It really makes me wonder why the iPad costs so much when something like this can do just about everything it can do at such a more affordable price. The size of this unit is slightly smaller than an iPad Mini. It's very light, fits well in the hand, very good quality, does not feel or look cheap. I would definitely recommend this tablet to anyone on a budget. It can do everything I would want a small tablet to do. It's fast, the screen/colors are beautiful, it handles games well. It charges well and holds its charge. It's quite durable too. I think this is an excellent tablet and can definitely recommend without hesitation.
DireWolf (Texas, USE) :
Very cool! for the price the HD7 is the best! it does everything I wanted and more, it runs very smooth! and with a few free apps you can play 24bit FLAC Audio and Mkv Videos without lag or stutters! I even use it as a phone with it's own phone# using the wifi and Google talk!
All in all if you are looking for a nice tablet at a reasonable price the HD7 would be your Huckleberry!
Evan Roussos (tigard, or, US) :
Great first tablet, I`m very fond of the android platform and this is just that. Just turn it on and set up your accounts, Wi-Fi ,favorite apps, etc. You don't even need the manual! Great screen and fast processor,Oh yea ---- fantastic price for a new generation tablet.

ASUS Transformer TF300 T-B1-BL 10.1-Inch 32 GB Tablet Discounts
Dave Kline (PA United States) :
I really liked this tablet. It was fast, the price was right, the keyboard dock was interesting, but I returned all three. Tablet one had a stuck-on pixel close to the center of the screen. Tablet two appeared to have a foreign object stuck under the glass of the screen. Tablet three had a dead pixel near the center of the screen. Not good when one of the touted features is the display. I've always gathered that Asus was among the leaders in the Android tablet game, so I'm rather disappointed. I suppose I can try the Transformer Infinity when it comes out or the Google tablet that is rumored to be made by Asus and hope this is a problem with this particular model. Unfortunately, there isn't much comparable by other manufacturers and Asus is one of the only manufacturers making high performance Android tablets...I guess we'll see what happens.
Desert Hiker (Arizona) :
This was a mail order item direct from Amazon. Delivery was faster than either of us expected. But even better is the Asus TF300. I was concerned about the comments in some of the reviews regarding the display and display brightness! Man, what a waste of energy, this tablet is perfect. I have owned both the Toshiba Thrive and the Acer Iconia A500. The TF300 beats them hands down. I like the thinness of the unit, the low weight, the incredible bright crisp display, Ice Cream Sandwich already loaded, and the feel of the unit. Touch response is fast and accurate. I was planning to upgrade to the TF700 when it became available, but not anymore. This one is a keeper and the price was right. It took less than an hour to set it up including an "Ice Cream Sandwich" upgrade and a few other downloads. Be sure and check out the TF300 if you are in the market for a tablet. You won't be sorry.
P. Scott (San Diego, CA USA) :
ASUS has very poor customer support (pretty much limited to what you can investigate & find in FAQs). If FAQs don't work, you have to find either a friend or consultant who know the product and Android very well. I don't have a friend or consultant who can step in and answer questions, so I'm out of luck. A few of the problems are: the VPN doesn't work, neither does the bluetooth. Tried two Bluetooth devices, phone (android 2.2 - Samsung galaxyS) & keyboard (for android 3.0+), neither work. That just for starters. BTW, poor customer support means you cannot talk to human, chat doesn't work (waited 45 minutes with "all our customer support engineers are busy" on the screen, then it finally just disconnected. The only other option is e-mail. The web site states that a support person will get back within 48 hrs. It's been 42 and no response. And what happens if the e-mail response doesn't answer your question? Right, another 48 hrs., maybe. Just bought it a week ago and it's getting close return the product time.

ASUS Ultrabook S500CA-DS51T 15.6-Inch Discounts
Gina B "It's a dry heat!" (Chandler, AZ USA) :
This is a lot of PC for the price! I ordered this PC with several other 15.6" PCs by different manufacturers for a technology show. I was surprised that the PCs that I ordered at double the price were only slightly nicer than this ASUS Vivobook. It has a nice, comfortable full sized keyboard and gorgeous display. The Ivy Bridge (Intel 3rd Generation i5-3317U) processor is speedy enough for most any task. This isn't a very portable machine, however, due to the large display size and the heavy weight. It's a great choice if you are looking for a stationary PC without having a tower - and the price makes it nice for students or someone looking to save some cash over a pricer unit.
GOOEY "LIQUID LOCUST" (TAMPA) :
I used macs mostly my whole life but after two of them crapped out on my I decided to go with a PC. This thing is so cool. The touch screen is futuristic and awesome. Works great.
This 14" version is PC Magazine's editors choice. This 15.6 version is $50 CHEAPER on Amazon. Go big.
I am very impressed. If you are a casual computer person on a budget, I would say that this is about the best you're going to get.
Barracuda Bob "barracuda Bob" (Rotonda West, FL) :
Real easy to use, and having a touchscreen makes it "tablet-like" . I like it better than my desktop and it's no slouch, well worth the investment. A bit heavier than I expected ,but I can live with that. only disappointment , I can't change battery.

ASUS S56CA-DH51 15.6-Inch Discounts
Richard (MN) :
I love the keyboard! I am still figuring out the touch pad... Seems to, sometimes, have a mind of it's own! Windows 8 is goofy but, I am gonna wait around for SP1. It is said SP1 will bring back the 'Start' button and have an option to be more WIN7-like in appearance. Rather than spend a lot of time digging through the drivers for the cache drive in WIN7 and all that, I am gonna give 8 a chance to fix itself. Other than the OS, this thing rocks! I can surely live with the resolution, the i5 is fast, built in graphics plays dvd's just fine. 6GB is plenty of RAM for most and power hungry's can add the extra two, if they want. My techie buddies all think it is cool with an obviously envious look. "Is that aluminum?" ;) Mine was $605, and it is worth every penny, IMHO. Oh, and the SSD cache? You will be spoiled by how fast this thing turns on! I am not an impatient man, I still run a Socket A Desktop, and I usually don't have the latest greatest, I wait for the good stuff to rise to the top. This is by far the most impressive piece of tech I have. I doubt I could be happier, perhaps with WIN 7. First impressions are thus. More to follow in the coming months.
Julio Aldana "Julio from NY" (BROOKLYN, NY) :
I got this PC to replace my outdated MacBook Pro because there was no way I could afford another Apple computer and this was such a great deal. Not only that but specs wise it wasn't at all bad. Plus my 3 year old computer gave me all the money I needed to subsidize this purchase through Gazelle.com. Upon receiving it I was pleasantly surprised at how fast it started up. Windows 8 took a little getting used to but on the whole it isn't that much different from any of the more recent versions of Windows. All the applications I've used in the past work fine. Then again it's mainly Google Chrome and iTunes so it really shouldn't be that much of a hardship for my computer. To sum up. I'm glad I got this computer. It didn't hurt my wallet all that much and I look forward to using this for the next 3 years or so.
John Taylor (Grants Pass, OR USA) :
I was unfamiliar with Windows 8 and it took a while to catch on. PC World magazine saved my bacon by having a ton of articles about the usage. Remote printing and the ability to go back to the familiar screen of Windows 7 are the things that make me want to keep this little gem. Asus monitors are also on my wish list.
ASUS Vivotab Smart Black Office 2013 H&S ME400C-C2-BK 10.1-Inch Discounts
Redhawk44 (Hemet, CA USA) :
I've only had this tablet for a couple days, so far I'm very pleased. the initial setup was smooth, although the windows updates took 40 minutes.
This is my first experience with Windows 8, so that's a challenge. Most everything works great. Chrome was a disappointment. I use it on my home PC and it's great, but on this tablet it was very sluggish, frequently freezing for 30+ seconds. Internet Explorer works great though, so I use it. I tried some of the supplied apps and games, no problems with any of them. Videos on CNN and Youtube were smooth and loaded fast.
The screen is nice and clear. Photos and graphics are sharp. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase. It's a great improvement from my 2 year old Acer/Android tablet.
Benrl (NYC) :
This is a wonderful device and will serve you and your emotional health well if you remember the mantra "a tablet is not a PC." I wanted a lightweight unit to replace my Lenovo Notebook on business trips and vacation when I didn't feel like carrying 5 pounds of technology. I also wanted it to have an operating system that would run the applications I use on a daily basis on my PC and an interface I could quickly adapt to. It needed to be fairly brisk in operation and have a history of reviews on Amazon that I could live with. And. of course, it needed to be priced right. It turns out the Vivotab Smart satisfies all of those criteria well. Is there a learning curve needed to wring out all its capabilities, yes. Is it as speedy as my i7 processor? Of course not. But does it come a heck of lot closer to fulfilling my portable computing needs than my wife's Ipad, absolutely. Asus has done an excellent job at a really reasonable price.
Paul Duncan (Bloomington, IN) :
Consider what you get, Clear HD screen, blue tooth connectivity, full windows 8 with Office 2013, snappy reaction. I think the negative comments are from people who expect a tablet to replace their laptop or deck top. there are just some things that are awkward on a tablet.

ASUS F55A-ES01 15.6-Inch Discounts
Jw "jw" (Colorado Springs, CO United States) :
I have another low end ASUS and continue to have a great experience with it. I plan to use this new one as a back up computer. It was fast enough and easy to use right out of the box. Then, I downloaded Office 365 and the system was sluggish. I uninstalled the software and it is much better again. When camping I run out of battery charge and need a second computer so I can continue writing. Wordpad, which is already installed, meets my needs under these circumstances. Yes, I know I could get a back-up battery for the other computer, but this newer one has a longer battery life than the old one and it has a cd drive, unlike the old one. Happy, but only rated 4 since it couldn't handle Office 365.
Xavier (buffalo,Tx) :
Well I just ordered this computer two days ago and it came today. Truthfully I didn't know what to expect. I've spent sometime getting used to the operating system and getting a feel for the computer. So far I like it and Windows 8 is not as bad as some make it out to be. I am satisfied with the computer and it was at a fair price. However this computer lags a lot and is very slow at times.. I was looking into buying a beefier laptop but I believe this will be good enough for now. If your looking for a fast computer this is not for you. It's very light (cheaply made) but nice.
Ginny Katsourides (Langhorne, PA) :
I bought this laptop on the recommendation of my daughter who had just purchased an ASUS computer. I really like the big screen-just haven't had time to set up all my preferences.
